What will a standard closing cost after HST?
- Above-ground: $319 + $41.47 HST = $360.47.
- In-ground: $429 + $55.77 HST = $484.77.
Those totals apply to the standard service before add-ons. If you select extra products or services, tax is calculated on the updated quote. Submitting a request does not confirm the final price or reserve an appointment automatically.
What is included in that starting price?
The standard closing scope includes water lowering as required, plumbing winterization, equipment blowout and winterization, standard winter chemicals, installation of your supplied cover, salt-system winterization where present, and completion photos. Standard connected heater winterization is included too.

Which extras can change the price?
- Attached spas and water features: separate lines, pumps or circuits can require additional winterization work.
- Replacement supplies: water bags, cover pumps, covers and missing hardware are separate products.
- Filter cleaning: ask whether the cleaning you need is included in your selected service.
- Water condition: heavy debris, algae or specialty chemical treatment may require work beyond standard closing chemicals.
- Complicated systems or difficult access: extra equipment, restricted access and additional labour can affect the quote.
- Existing damage: repairs to leaking or broken components are assessed separately.

How should you compare two closing quotes?
Compare the total for the same work. Start by checking whether both quotes include tax, chemicals, the connected equipment, water lowering and installation of your existing cover. Then confirm what happens if supplies are missing or a problem is found.
For example, an advertised closing price that excludes cover installation cannot be compared directly with a package that includes it. Ask for the complete total for your pool before deciding. A lower quote can be a good choice when the scope and service arrangements suit your needs.
Keep the written quote so you can refer to the agreed tasks. Completion photos provide a visual record of the visible equipment and cover after service.
What information helps confirm your price quickly?
Have your pool type, approximate size, cover type and equipment details ready. Mention a spa, waterfall, separate pump, known leak or damaged cover. A clear equipment photo can help explain a layout that is difficult to describe.
